The other night, Molly and I taught Hrishikesh some “American slang” in exchange for some “Pune slang.” In my infinite wisdom, I decided to teach him the invaluable phrases “I can’t even” and “so basic” not really considering that these are pretty hard to translate/describe. This resulted in about an hour of Hrishikesh screaming at us, his parents, grandparents, and the world “YOU ARE SO BASIC. I CAN’T EVEN.” over and over and over again in what can only be described as an exasperated and pathetic attempt at an Italian accent.
